Manor of the Plains’ COVID-19 outbreak closed

The Ford County Health Department has officially closed the COVID-19 outbreak at Manor of the Plains after all residents and employees tested negative in tests conducted June 30. The community tested 147 residents and employees June 30, and learned Monday, July 6, that all tested negative for COVID-19.

Manor of the Plains reports good news about COVID-19 testing

Manor of the Plains received more good news with the results of a campus-wide retest for COVID-19.The community tested 65 residents and 86 employees, and learned today that all tested negative for COVID-19. Of the employees who previously tested positive, only two are awaiting a second negative test to be cleared to return to work. Those tests will be completed this week.

Manor of the Plains Reports More Covid Test Results

Manor of the Plains received good news with the results of the campus-wide COVID-19 testing completed last week. All residents--independent living, assisted living and health care—tested negative for COVID-19.Last week, the community tested 140 employees and residents for COVID-19. One employee has tested positive for COVID 19, and 10 employees will need to be retested due to issues with the samples at the lab.

Manor of the Plains reports more COVID test results, plans more testing

Results are in for 36 additional employees tested for COVID-19 at Manor of the Plains. The senior living community was notified by the Ford County Health Department and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment epidemiology line that 1 additional employee tested positive for the virus.The Ford County Health Department has labeled the cases a COVID-19 cluster.
