Lifelong Learning

Exploration and discovery are a vital part of living well and play a key role in healthy aging. In fact, studies show that people who stay stimulated intellectually throughout life are typically happier and healthier. Manor of the Plains residents routinely participate in a variety of activities that keep them actively engaged in the community and the world through our lifelong learning programs.

In addition to hosting regularly scheduled meetings, instructional courses and an occasional impromptu program, Manor of the Plains maintains a well-stocked library. Here residents will find a wealth of resources including large-print books on a variety of topics, and an abundance of other printed media.

Just Ask

Our Just Ask Lifelong Learning series offers topics of interest to the broader community as well as our residents. Just Ask topics have included wills, senior scams, balance and falls, winter/summer safety, healthy eating, and the warning signs of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
